So she is not going to make a CD until she gets a record deal. IMO, almost acting like the dinosaur record industry. The internet has shaken the music industry up, but for want of a better phrasology, Deb looks like a dinosaur in only considering a record deal instead of doing stuff yourself, which means all profits are your own. But that of course requires HARD work.

I still buy CDs, though I'm probably one of the very few... I buy CD's, they give much better quality then any MP3 or AAC you can buy. Of course, with SO much cr@p out there, don't buy many any more.

ABC & VH1 will have child star reality show contests.
Not sure if "CEY" is that type of show (ie "American Idol") or more of a documentry since it's also being filmed as a reality show.
Since the bottom of the article (posted on thos thread) states that it's not going to be like "American Idol", guessing it's more of a documentry. With the other two reality shows, it would cause confusion with the public and critics.
Then again who knows...

Though majority probably have never heard of Deb, they might still get inspired from her as their instructor. Just a thought. Probably a good thing since most probably are aspiring artists while if was a more well known celebrity it would get many wannabes (ie reality talent shows). (enter dumb "Best Week Ever" comment, which probably would be something like the rude students would have to listen to Deb's songs in detention or whatever )

"Best Week Ever" is one of the worst shows on TV. It just shows how far Vh1 has fallen.
Those that just want to be famous probably don't have a clue who Deborah is or anyone else other than their idols Britney, Lindsay, and Paris. I think the ones that are going to be a part of her camp are the ones that do have some talents and realize that you have to actually do work to get where you want to be.
How did you get so many negatives on your karma thing? I don't think you've posted anything that's that controversial.

CEY will make a difference in a few kids lifes but it certainly will not make a dent inthe entertainment universe even if someone from the camp becomes mega famous. besides unless you have the backing of a disney or another rich company you are not going anywhere. radio tv and other outlets will nto play you and the internet is not going to make many people rich and famous and have a career.

If someone that goes to the camp becomes very famous at some point then I'm sure it will be brought up. Her camp may not have been the main reason why they became famous but it wouldn't have hurt them either. Where it's really going to benefit is maybe chainging the ideas that some kids have that they don't have to actually work or have talent to become famous, they can do it without scandals, and that fame isn't just automatically thrown at you like it's your birth right.
