I actually liked The Strokes' "Last Nite", though most of their songs sound repetative

Jet "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" & "Cold Hard..." were OK

I actually liked "The Middle" from Jimmy Eat World when it first came out, though not as much anymore...

"No You Girls" Franz Fernidand

They had a hit several years ago with "Take Me Out"

I would try to create a list of the worst songs, though it would be too long to write and also would be difficult to see what's #1...

Haven't heard much of Natasha Bedingfield for a while and Duffy was pretty much a two hit wonder in the states (though honestly her voice is limited...since I saw that infamous Coke Cola commercial... and her debut album was mostly ballads with one uptempo song. More variety please... Or maybe she wanted to be more known for ballads and the label wanted her to record something like "Mercy"...)

Ting Tings... While the '80's new wave throwback was fun they could experiment with their sound for their second album or end up forgettable like The Sounds (which remained sounding like a Blondie cover band...though the actual band was far much better).

Many artists that I either like one song...

Also songs that are unintentionally funny like Amy Winehouse "Rehab" and Sean Kingston "Beautiful Girls"

Duffy recruits diverse duo for second album

By David J. Prince
NEW YORK (Billboard) - Welsh singer Duffy is working with Roots drummer Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson and veteran songwriter Albert Hammond Sr. on her second album.

A planned three-week session just got underway in New York, with Thompson and Hammond contributing both songwriting and production ideas. A source who has heard the early material says it "feels like it was born in 1963" and is much in the vein of the Dusty Springfield-inspired soul found on her smash 2007 debut, "Rockferry."

Thompson has also contributed to singer/songwriter Sara Bareilles' upcoming second album. Hammond, the father of Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr., is best known for penning such hits as "It Never Rains in Southern California" and "To All the Girls I've Loved Before."

Duffy's as-yet-untitled album is expected to be released before the end of the year on Mercury. "Rockferry" won a Grammy for best pop vocal album and has sold 848,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It was an even bigger hit in the United Kingdom, where it debuted at No. 1 on the album chart and spawned a massive single, "Mercy," which spent five weeks at the top.

I'm guessing Duffy got on board a westbound 747, and didn't think before deciding what to do.

Though uploaded a few weeks ago, stumbled upon Duffy's latest "Well Well Well".

Catchy and sounds different (OK, though tolerable than certain current acts) from her songs from "Rockferry", which had a '60's vibe. Though her voice actually shines more in ballads.

According to Wiki, her second album is "Endlessly" is released on November 29th and the single "Well Well Well" on November 21st (doesn't say if it's for the US or UK...well, Wiki isn't reliable)

Natasha Bedingfielsd's recent "Touch",  was OK, but didn't like it as much as her other songs ("Wild Horses", "These Words", "Soul Mate", "Say It Again")

"Hands" from the Ting Tings, while it's catchy it's nothing special.

Any "newer artists", not so much.

Grace Potter & The Nocturnals "Paris (Ooh La La)", a performance from "Ellen"

Saw music video on VH1 during the dusk while flipping channels. Catchy, has a retro '70's vibe and the singer's cute to boot (looks  similar to Kirsten Dunst). Though her voice sounds OK.

Unfortunately found their other songs bland/forgettable, which I sampled some on YouTube. Too "granola" for my taste.

"Weird Al" Yankovic's "Perform This Way"

Worth a chuckle and very much true...  Cheesy

There haven't been any songs nor artists that  have  grasped my attention for about a year

Have forgotten about that song. Guessing I wasn't the only person who found Grace Potter mediocre, though "Paris (Ooh La La)" is an OK song. Guess the song got lost in the shuffle with songs from Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Lady GaGa, etc.

Of all the new people or groups that have come out in the last couple of years I think the only one that's been listenable to is Katy Perry.  There is a real talent drought in new music right now.
