EMF had a few hits in the UK like "I Believe", though only had one hit in the US. Though "Unbelievable" is one of my favorite songs of the 1990's.

Digital Underground is often called a one hit wonder, but they had other hits like "Same Song" & "Doowutchalike" (sp). "The Humpty Dance" is probably their most popular song.

"Crush" (Jennifer Page) & "You Get What You Give" (New Radicals) are both good, catchy pop songs from 1998... when MTV was getting far worse with a show called "TRL" with numetal bands like Limp Bizkit and manufactured pop acts like N'Sync. (MTV became 'Moronic TV' in 1997, IMHO).

"I Wanna Be (500 Miles)" was a hit in other countries in 1988, but not in the US until 1993.

Not listed: Vanilla Ice, Robbie Ray Montana, and Chumbawamba since they're just plain bad.  Tongue

Top 25 '90's One Hit Wonders  Cool

... or  atleast the biggest & most well known song

Turns out that EMF had a second Top 40 hit with "Lies". I actually like their song "I Believe", though wasn't a hit in the states. Also thought Jesus Jones was a one hit wonder as well...until I discovered they also had "Real Real Real"

Though "one hit wonder" is a tricky term since some bands are more popular in other countries and there's bands that have only a few or one well known song(s) despite having multiple or just a few  hits.

25. Rentals "Friends Of P" (1996)
24. Lucas "Lucas With The Lid Off" (1994)
23. Skee Lo "I Wish" (1995)
22. Breeders "Cannonball" (1993)
21. Veruca Salt "Seether" (1995)
20. Mark Morrison "Return Of The Mack" (1996)
19. Proclaimers "I Wanna Be (500 Miles)" (1993, actually 1988...though wasn't a hit until several years later)
18. Cypress Hill "Insane In The Brain" (1993)
17. Stereo MCs "Connected" (1993)

Sir Mix-a-Lot in an interview once was talking about that song and he said that when the song went to the moon and was so over hyped he knew he had to get out of the business.  He also made a crack about how women would come up to him and say "look at me, I've got back!"  He would say back "yeah but you've got front and sides too."
