I selected The Police, Thomas Dolby, and Modern English.  I nominate "Love Blonde" by Kim as another possibility. Smiley

I've never considered U2 a new wave band, though some of their earlier songs like "I Will Follow", "Sunday Bloody Sunday", and "New Years Day" would fit the genre...

Here, they were considered new wave until their Unforgettable Fire album. They changed their style a bit for The Joshua Tree album (which made them worldwide ultra-superstars), and never went back. YMMV of course.
