Since it's almost Summer, here's something from 20 years ago...

Debbie Gibson: My 50 Favorite Summer Things!
No rehab, partying, drugs, sex tapes, getting a nose job & denying it, etc. like certain young Hollywood celebs today...

Just Deb being a teenager in the 1980's

Wonder if there's pics of an 18 year old Deb in a bathing suit? (Just Kidding... yeah that comment was a bit immature)

1988...

TV:

"Garfield and Friends" becomes a Saturday morning cartoon
"Yo! MTV Raps" debut in August on MTV (back when they aired music videos)
Sitcoms "Roseanne" & "Murphy Brown" debut

Movies:

"Who Framed Roger Rabbit" (personal favorite, featuring a great blend of live action/animation)
"Die Hard"
"Rain Man"
"License To Drive"

Music:

George Michael "Faith" wins album of the year at the 1988 Grammy Awards.
U2 release concert film "Rattle & Hum"
INXS 1987 classic "Need You Tonight/Mediate" won Video of of the Year at the VMAs

Not to mention Deb being the youngest artist to... well, we know... write, produce, & record a #1 hit at age 17  (wrote it at 14). And that it still holds to this day.

Other popular artists: Madonna, Michael Jackson, U2, INXS, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Guns N' Roses, Whitney Houston, George Michael, Janet Jackson.
