Deb & Tiff (ugh, that's sooo 1987 and how can Deb be "Mall Pop" if she never toured the malls) are ranked at #45 & 45 in EW's Top 50 Fashion That Rocked Pop Culture. There's two pictures of them shown from 1987/1988. There's a small paragraph that mentioned that both known for their " suburban Valley Girl ensembles". Though the Valley Girl craze was in the early '80's and Deb's from New York.

Well, new waver Boy George's 44 and he wore the black hat a few years before Deb Roll Eyes

Then again... on their list of the 100 best albums of last 25 years, 13 from this decade is in the Top 25.  Roll Eyes

I know those lists are based on opinions and also aren't even good.

edited: The list was Top 100, not 25 and (as I expected) non from Deb. Though Prince's "Purple Rain" is #1, which is a good album, though would be extremely hard to pick the greatest...

I think it was MTV that came out with this list of the 100 greatest albums of all time and more than 70 of them were released between 1993 and 1996.   Roll Eyes

I remember in 1987 and 1988 seeing teen age girls wearing the black hats and jeans cut off just above the knee.  I remember thinking "now where have I seen this before?"  I liked that look though.  It sure as hell blew away the looks of the next decade.

I've seen pics of Deb wearing ties from 1989/1990, which were popular sometime ago.

The only worst fashion I can think of are  blazers since  the  shoulder pads looked unflattering.

Leggings have made a comeback Cool
