For those who have the channel, VH1 Classic will air an 80 hour marathon of music videos from the '80's by alphabetical order (by artist) on August 29th through September 1st.

Slightly different than the defunct "VH1 History of Music Videos A to Z", though there's now more video selections and artitsts that didn't appear on regular VH1 (ie hip hop, college rock/alternative, and metal). I've read that Deb have been skipped, but I'm sure her videos might appear. Though guessing about three or four.

Also noticed that "13" songs appears on the schedule, which either might be wrong (since about 8 or 9  videos would fit an hour... "Thriller" takes up the whole half hour   Roll Eyes ), videos are edited, or that less commercials are shown. Undecided Huh

Ironically it's on the week of Deb's birthday, which is on August 31st. (probably will air the day before).

In regular rotation, a few of her early videos appear time to time (approx: once/twice every week or two) on "Totally 80's" and the morning video block.

Vh1 did one of those A to Z marathons 10 years ago and when they got to "G" Deborah wasn't included.

On a half hour block of '80's videos, there were 5 videos from 1988 and none was from Deb... Well, they did play "Wild Thng" from Tone Loc.

I'll watch parts of the marathon even if Deb isn't included, though not sure if the channel had the marathon in past years since I recently got it..

There's going to be a 2009 of 2009 marathon starting New Years...

OK, probably would last for about two weeks...

They better return "Pop Show" (never seen, but read about) since '90's videos are shown on "120 Minutes" and even a few on "Metal Mania" and sometimes on reguar morning video blocks.

I doubt they'd play anything from Deb of that era, but there were still pop singers and songs like EMF "Unbelievable" & "Poison"  Bel Biv DeVoe  in the early part of the decade.

The 2009 videos are being aired by songs, not artists and will last a week from "1,2,3" from Miami Sound Machine to "Ziggy Stardust" from David Bowie...

Watched the "A"s and "Anything Is Possible" didn't air. Neither did "Alone Again" from Dokken nor "Aeroplane" from Red Hot Chili Peppers. Though obscure videos that I've never seen have aired like the horribly cheesy "Alphabet Street" from Prince that looked as if was taken from "Sesame Street".  Roll Eyes

More likely, some of her early videos would air. Like to see "Electric Youth" again, since I only saw it once during the morning video block, and possibly "Out Of The Blue".

People almost lost there MTV and VH1 last night who lived in Indiana, new York state, ohio, Southern CA and a few more states I can't remember from reading a lical new website.  There was a war between Timewaner and Vicom over pricing.  TWC wanted too pull the blug on MTV and such channels but suddenly they worked out a deal and at 12:01 we still had 18 viacom channels.

"Electric Youth" aired between LA Guns "Electric Gypsy" & Rolling Stones "Emotional Rescue"

Though without intro. Though most of the videos VH1 Classic air are uncut, a few are edited or shortened.

"Foolish Beat" in the next letter, very likely

"Foolish Beat" is currently on, right after Def Leppard's "Foolin" (good song, though not their best video) Cool

"Lost In Your Eyes" aired  after Rod Stewart's "Lost In You" (would've been better if the model in the video  was Rachel Hunter, though not sure if he was dating/married to her at the time or time frame since he always looks the same)

"No More Rhyme"... since I've seen obscure videos or videos that aren't seen often appearing it could happen, though doubt it (50/50)

"One Hand, One Heart"... doubt it

"Only In My Dreams"... more likely

"Out Of The Blue"... probably, but some popular songs have also been omitted like Janet Jackson's "Control" & Def Leppard "Love Bites". Who knows (besides the programmers)

"Staying Together"... see "No More Rhyme" comment

"Shake Your Love"... more likely

"This So-Called Miracle"... doubt it

"We Could Be Together"... doubt it

The last video too make semi airplay on MTV.  I didn't have VH1 at the time so I don't know about that channel was AIP from the AIP album.  So never expect One hand one heart.

"No More Rhyme" didn't air

"Only In My Dreams" aired after Garbage's "Only Happy When It Rain"

"Out Of The Blue"... didn't air (though like every artist, they only play a select few from each artist and only show videos for about 12 hours per day on regular shedule as of... not sure)
