Geez can that be 16 years ago already. I was at the Anaheim concert and I remember reading the review that is posted above. IN fact I remember writing to the author of that review thanking her for her kind words.

It was such a great show. It makes you wish that she would record some new music. We also got to that show early and I remember getting to meet her outside the backstage door before the show. After she went inside all the fans that were outside headed down to carls jr. a few blocks away and when we went to sit in the dinning room I don't think I ever saw so many people wearing DGIF T-shirts in one place. There must have been atleast 10 or 20 fans in the dinning room wearing DGIF T-Shirts. It was very odd to see.

>bump<

Felt like this thread could be revived.

Some of my favorite images from the "One Step Ahead" tour (on the now defunt Deb.org) have been tight dresses (especially the red pictured here from the setlists link) and midriffs that shows off her tummy. Though a few outfits tend to look a bit cheesy.  Cool

"Heart & Soul" is one of her most beautiful ballads

I think she started going for a more sophisticated image during that time.  She was wearing more dresses and fewer jeans and t-shirts.

I wonder if she would ever perform a concert without including showtunes (1, like "On My Own" on the setlist, or 2 would be OK, but not a lot) and also original material from the 1990's/2000's.

As much musical theatre is her passion, I doubt it would happen. Though if she does leave out her songs from the 1990's and "MYOB", the average joes/plain janes (casual/nostalgic fans or people who just liked a few songs)  might think she have retired from popular music after "Electric Youth". Though in the age of the internet some would research, but doubt many people would since she's pretty much looked as a joke and/or hasbeen.

I kind of doubt that she would.  She wanted to be on Broadway long before her pop career began so that's really what she likes.

There are a lot of people who look at anyone as a joke when they aren't on the charts.  Someone could have the biggest hit single in history but the second it drops off the Billboard Hot 100 they consider them to be a washed-up hasbeen.  Personally I think that Britney is the biggest joke and hasbeen in music right now.

agree since she's mostly tabloid fodder

Also the "never was", though that's another topic

Could anybody post some pics from the early '90's. Especially  with short hair and/or showing midriff.
