Got the '60's set...  Cool

I find the theme of Quickdraw McGraw a bit odd since he's riding a stage coach with horses... yet he's a horse himself (though there's a scene with Quickdraw pulling the coach)

There's also a mini featurette about Quickdraw that mentions that Warner Bros. writer Michael Maltese worked on some of the early Hanna Barbera cartoons.

Also watched "Porky Pig Show" and a bit of "Space Ghost" (pre-talkshow).

"Daffy Duck's Quackbusters" aired on tv one one of those generic movie channels  Cool Grin

After that "Space Jam" aired... though "Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Movie" would be a better companion or atleast "Daffy Duck's Fantastic Island".

Though will be released on DVD with three bonus cartoons:  "Superior Duck", "Duck Dodgers & The Return of the 24 1/2 Century", and "Little Go Beep"

Ironically, Cartoon Network used to air a "June Bugs" marathon during the first few days of June...

If there's a second volume of the '70's "Saturday Morning Cartoons" set, they could add the Josie & The Pussycats episode of "New Scooby Doo Movies" and "Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Hour" (an episode with more than 4 cartoons not on the Looney Tunes Golden Collection sets...though could be featured on the '60's set). Now that I might get...  Smiley

If there's a second season of the '60's volume:

"Huckleberry Hound Show" or "Yogi Bear Show"
"Dasterdly & Muttley" (used to watch it on a local tv station in the early '90's, though currently not on Boomerang)

"Porky Pig Show"

Quote
Porky Pig Show # 5 (Oct. 18, 1964)
"Thumb Fun" with Daffy Duck and Porky Pig
"Ready, Woolen, and Able" with Ralph Wolf and Sam Sheepdog
"Wise Quackers" with Daffy Duck and Elmer Fudd
note: three cartoons not on DVD

Since there was two episodes of "Quick Draw McGraw" on the first volume this could have another Looney Tunes television  packages like "The Road Runner Show"  as the "Bonus Cartoon" with a mini-documentry  about Looney Tunes being shown on television.

New episodes of "The Mighty B!" are airing within the week of June 8th (hosted by actress/creator of the  Amy Poehler).

While it's average (not the best nor the worst), I actually enjoy the background art and some of the visuals (ie the surrealness of the  recent episode that spoofed the "Magic Eye" thing...wonder if that thing is still around?).

I also watch "Penguins of Madegascar" time to time and older Hanna Barbera cartoons on Boomerang.

I still think that the Bugs Bunny/Coyote/Road Runner series has never been topped.

When anyone goes to edit their post after they've posted it, does it log you out or is it just me?

I used to watch many cartoons back in the 70s but the bad thing is that now I can't remember the names of some of them.

There's a booth in the state fair that's selling bootleg DVDs of old tv shows and cartoons like "Heckle & Jeckle" (which I doubt would ever be released on DVD) to selected Looney Tunes characters (majority are released) to a banned Disney movie ... should I risk it? Best not. (though I might for the heck of it)

Have you ever heard of a cartoon series called "G Force?"  I used to watch that when I was a kid.  I think I watched it from 1977 to 79.  It was Japanese and was dubbed over in English.  It's very hard to describe what it was like or about except a group of teenagers that had extraordinary powers and had secret identities.

Early listings (I'll wait for the official listings from Cartoon Brew or Toon Zone)... incorrect since the '70's incarnation of "Tom & Jerry" is listed  and some episodes are already on Vol 1...

Two Looney Tunes programs would be good and three haven't been released...

Bolded.. pretty much likely (never heard of the first one, but according to IMDB it's from 1967 and there was a Filmation "Superman" cartoon in the '60's, which could be added since Warner Bros. owns D.C... though don't know who owns the long defunct Filmation)

The Toon Zone news been update for the '70's volume of the disc, though still not  the official listing (taken from TV Shows on DVD site)...

Actually a bit better than the 1st volume, which I didn't bother to get

Uh... 1/2 of "Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Hour" and also several '60's cartoons

Quote
1970's:
* The Bugs Bunny Show: Whoa! Be Gone/To Itch His Own/Gee Whiz-z-z
* Pebbles and Bamm Bamm: Gridiron Girl Trouble
* Scooby Doo: What a Night For a Knight
* Shazzan!: The Living Island
* The Jetsons: Jetson's Night Out
* The Bugs Bunny Road Runner Hour: Snow Business/Two Crows From Tacos/Ready, Set, Zoom!
* Dastardly & Mutley: Stop That Pigeon
* Wacky Races: See-Saw to Arkansas/Creepy Trip to Lemon Twist
* Banana Splits: Joining the Knights/The Littlest Musketeer/"Danger Island" Episodes 1 and 2
* The Flintstones: No Biz Like Show Biz
* Penelope Pitstop: The Diabolical Department Store Manager
* The New Adventures of Superman: Mermen of Emor

Please note that these are highly tentative and subject to change.

Though on the cover:

'70's: "Hair Bear Bunch", "Sealab 2020", "Inch High Private Eye", '70's incarnation of "Tom & Jerry"

'60's: "Peter Potamus" (and Breezly & Sneezly the polar bear & seal), Looney Tunes tv package(s), "Magilla Gorilla", and whatever Hanna Barbera show Touche Turtle appeared in

Bought "Tweety & Sylvester Mysteries" on DVD, which I actually like some of the episodes I've watched like "It's A Plaid, Plaid, Plaid, Plaid World", where Granny (with the known duo and Hector the bulldog) goes to scotland and also the episode where they went to Australia (and that the puddy cat is allergic to wool).

Though one episode with the blarney stone being stolen was kinda mediocre. While not the best, it's better than the infamous "Loonatics Unleashed".

Honestly, I didn't watch the cartoon when it originally aired on the now defunct Kids WB in the mid 1990's since I was more focused on cable.

"Duck Dodgers" and "Tiny Toons Adventures" were OK. Haven't seen "Tazmania" for a long time, though my opinion might be different now.

Yes, I know that they aren't even close to the original Looney Tunes...

No, though in the Looney Tunes comic books from the 1950's to 1970's Road Runner was called 'Beep Beep'.
