Somehow I knew that My trip to Atlantic City would be very special but I had no idea how special it would be! I first planned this trip when I launched the first Amy Rivard forum like it says below my avatar your dreams do come true! this has meaning for me and the artist I support as well. OK a little background on Deborah she was the youngest artist to ever write and produce a hit record at the age of 15. many called her a teen idol she was much more than that a singer songwriter who refused to be labled as a hasbin ( she started her own label and sold Cd's on her website in 1996.)
This show was the most increadable show that I've seen all year
At 37 Deb comands an audience like she did at 17 but even better. this was the final night of a month of shows she did at Harrah's in Atlantic City.. I was going to go to the show on the 17Th but made a discion to see the last show! again my instincts were right!!!
She started the set with a Broadway number then riped into her own songs and WOW what power she comands Deb talked about using her sisters tape recorder when she was young to record herself. and her Mom bought her equipment to do it right ( Deb mixed her own Cd's in her home studio) yes this girl is allot more than most thought she was! back to the show 3 or 4 times Deb came down into the audience and was singing one time she was 5 feet from us Scott came with me again. Deb has a keen scene of music at one point for several songs she switched to a headset wireless setup like CW uses she was overloading the mike and noticed it and moved it to correct it. OK when the show started Deb was dressed so you couldn't notice her the BAM! off came the disguise and the show began. one real cool thing to note that shocked me a on stage costume change no no you got the wrong idea! the lights went down she went from a white dress shown in the photo below to a red one( a pull off costume I guess) it happened so fast I was shocked.
