Update on main site going missing

The main site went missing during the night (03/04 Jan), this included this forum. The cause was because I changed some settings which needed to be sent around the internet to the machines that handle your requests to access the website.

The website was fake taken down (while leaving all the files), then make the website appear live again. It's during this time the entire website was down.

Why was this done? There were some people experiencing routing problems to the website, and it appears the biggest was from google.com, who was dropping the website from it's listings because it could not reach the site to index it.

Now that the site should have this fault cleared, Google and other search engines should have no problems with the site, and casual browsers should once again find this website in the search engines.

This problem sometimes occurs when the machines that take your requests to find a website corrupts the information they hold and "loose" the exact address a website is located, then send this same wrong information to other machines until all machines have the wrong address for a website.
