I recently bought a copy of the "Rock n' Roll" comics featuring Paula Abdul, which I thought would parodize her though it's just a mediocre bio. Decent, though would've been cool if they done one for Deb. (Unfortunately, never was made). Though according to Wiki, it had been sued by New Kids On The Block and Motley Crue since they were unauthorized.

It mentions that she choreographed Deb's "Shake Your Love" video, though Deb wasn't caricatured. The caricature of Paula was so & so, but still recognizable.

Here's the comment from the Deb.org BTL archives...

Note: It was Rock & Roll Vixens, might've been a special issue or something separate

ROCK N' ROLL VIXENS COMIC

Rock'n'Roll Comics has written a comic story about lady superheroes. They are:
Samantha Fox, Madonna, Paula Abdul and Debbie Gibson. Debbie being the only
character with any sort of values and decency, is the only one wearing
anything resembling normal clothing; the rest are wearing revealing costumes.
Their mission is to rescue Eddie Van Halen from the evil Ninja Monsters. All
the the ladies have superpowers, i.e. Paula has super speed. Debbie has very
limited powers. She is treated like a little kid who knows nothing, i.e.
"Remember Your Curfew", and has lines like "It's a man", when they rescue
Eddie. Toward the end Debbie, during the fight with the Ninjas, copies Paula's
superspeed, and goes so fast that her clothes burn off. The story ends with
all the heros around Debbie who is in her heart pattern underpants.

As a spoof, I've seen better. The art is all done in Pencil, no color. The
characters don't look a lot like their living counterparts. To put it simply,
its not worth the three bucks.

... eh,doesn't sound interesting and wonnder if it was written by Seth McFarlane (the description of how Deb is treated and the character sounds close to Meg Griffin of "Family Guy") Roll Eyes

The Paula issue wasn't anything special (maybe for hardcore fans, and an actual bio would be better), though could've gotten another Disney comic or something else...

BTW, I'm not selling nor trading it.

Any opinions about the infamous "Rock & Roll Vixens" comic? Honestly, I wouldn't buy it, though can't find any scans from it...

Rock Vixens was from Rock Fantasy comics. Not Rock & Roll comics. The person probably had them confused. Rock & Roll comics probably would just be another bio and nothing like from the Sci Fi/fantasy universe.

Can't find any scans besides the cover, which featured Paula Abdul & Samantha Fox in spandex outfits.

Eh, better stick to the Disney comics I've recently gotten into... (Yep, some have reprints from the Carl Barks era or other older comics)

Recently bought a "Rock Fantasy" comic featuring Def Leppard and was mostly cheesy... groupie vampires and the band turning into werewolves for no reason... huh?  Roll Eyes

As for the superheroes parody... still curious despite the negative reviews on a few sources.

I've seen that comic for sale on ebay before but I've never thought about buying it.  People that have bought it all say not to waste your money on it.
