MTV 25 Lame
ranked by MTV viewers (1999)
25. Spin Doctors "Two Princes"
Average video and an OK song.24. Hammer "2 Legit 2 Quit"
23. Wilson Phillips "Hold On"
22. Chumbawamba "Tubthumping"
21. Billy Squier "Rock Me Tonight"
20. 4 Non Blondes "What's Up"
19. Motley Crue "Without You"
Not their best, though the video's somewhat average. Different for hair metal and more akin to Tears For Fears' "Sowing The Seeds Of Love".18. Snow "Informer"
17. Paula Abdul "Rush Rush"
Actually an OK song and a decent video that's a homage to the 1950's movie "Rebel Without A Cause" and features Keanu Reeves of "Bill & Ted's Excellant Adventures" and later movies like "The Matrix".16. Warrant "Heaven"
Good song, average hair band video with band performing, backstage, etc.15. Crash Test Dummies "Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm"
14. Aqua "Barbie Girl"
13. Journey "Separate Ways"
12. Winger "Seventeen"
A bad '80's hairband video with a very politically incorrect song. Winger is probably best known to be written on the shirt of Stewart from "Beavis & Butt-Head".11. Wham! "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go"
Ahhh! one of the worst videos from the 1980's. It's an OK song, but the video contains too much Day Glo! They had better hits like "Careless Whisper" & "Last Christmas". George Michael later had a successful solo career.10. Debbie Gibson "Electric Youth"
Though not the best (or worst) song of Deb's, the video's quite average for 1989. Atleast they didn't put "Foolish Beat" or "Lost In Your Eyes". Yeah, I've heard far worse like Baha Men "Who Let The Dogs Out". For bad '80's songs, anything from Air Supply. 9. Vanilla Ice "Ice, Ice, Baby"
Just plain awful. He makes K Fed sound like The Beastie Boys. As for the video, it's boring and looks very amaturish.8. Milli Vanilli "Girl You Know It's True"
'Nuff said7. Gerardo "Rico Suave"
...good with sound off since there's cute female dancers wearing spandex
6. Hall & Oates "Maneater"
Good song, average video5. Los Del Rio "Macarena"
4. Nelson "After The Rain"
3. Eddie Murphy featuring Michael Jackson "Whazupwitu"
2. Chunky A "Owww!"
1. Don Johnson "Heartbeat"
Cheesy enough, though Vanilla Ice deserves the #1 spot, IMHO. He's best known as Sonny Crockett on the '80's drama "Miami Vice".
