She looks fine/OK Though mostly indifferent since I'm more into her music than her image. (
A bit contradicting considering that I sometimes look at pics of Scarlett, old pics of Barbara Streisand...yeah, I'll admit that she was hot back in her day., and a few others). Also Deb whenever I feel like googling to ad to the picture thread (especially the early '90's since they're hardly shown on the internet since a few sites have discontinued) Eh, I'm typical male
I don't know nothing about fashion, this is basically commentary about her looks from the early 1990's and 1980's. Especially that I'm fond of images from the eras (ie music videos, commercials)
On the texting comment Deb admitted that her short hair phase was a bad idea.

Though personally it depends on the style.
The KD Lang look from the
Rick Dees talk show was probably the worst I've seen. She still looked cute when the hair wasn't too short.
I'll probably get hated, but have to admit that on s few pics (saw one on Ebay sometime ago) she kinda looks boyish with very the Joan of Arc look (if not familiar, think "Legend of Billie Jean").
Though that was the style from the early '90's.
Some of the outfits from the early '90's were bizarre and some appear if she borrowed from Prince. My personal favorite would be the dresses and also the midriffs (while it may look tacky, she does show her tummy. Though the red top and the
polka dots were OK)
The worst:
Shoulder pads. Though still popular in the early '90's, it's very unflattering and one of the fashion from the '80's that should never make a comeback.

She's actually one of the few celebrities that pulled off the look and still looked cute with a perm, bangs, and side ponytail.
Even better than Taylor Dayne, who I consider the hottest singer of the decade, since her hair looked messed-up when she first came onto the scene around the same time as Deb and didn't look good on her until she improved her image in 1989/1990.
Taylor Dayne... guessing big hair doesn't match with her sophisticated sex appeal (though still looked hot in "Tell It To My Heart" video and a few others from 1987/1988)

OK, back to the topic 1987/1988... Deb looked age appropriate and sorta like an '80's answer to Sandra Dee with her wholesome image.
Not to forget her trademark hat
1989: Bike shorts, shirts, vest
Slightly mature and still looked good. Personally, she looked her best in the early/mid 1990's. Also 1989. Never consider her "hot" as a teen since it's wrong. I know she's an adult, but still...
One thing she could've changed is that she could show some midriff (she was 18, and even her backup singers in her "Electric Youth" tour flaunted their tummy) Though more causual like if she tied a knot on her shirt rather than some sexy outfit or get-up and her belly button doesn't have to be shown and no cleavage, which many female pop singers in the past decade and even from her generation have flaunted.
Worst...
Can't really think of any and there were far worse in the '80's (Flock of Seagulls, Christina Applegate's hair in the first season of "Married With Children")
Flower jeans looked tacky, though Deb had that cute appeal that's hard to dismiss. As for the hair, she had better.
