YAY! We have reached the 20,000 friends mark so I wanted to say "thank you for being a friend" (can you jus her the Golden Girls theme playing???)

Anywho - Happy 2008! Hope to see you all at Harrah's Atlantic City in May or a Camp Electric Youth in July...

Exciting new developments with that - Entetainment Tonight will be doing exclusive coverage on both new projects and I will be holding a scholarship audition late January/early February so stay tuned. If you're on the West Coast stay dry.... Here's to a great year!!!

Thats great that Deb has 20130 friends now on myspace.

Your Secret,OIMD,and Own my own have been added to her myspace along with Sounds like love, Electric Youth and Lost in your eyes

I think they need to add 3 more in place of the last 3.

Just today she already has about 1600 song plays.

Does anyone use Myspace that is:
a) more than 16 years old
b) not a female?

I see no attraction in that site whatsoever.

As for people being on that site, it just says you're "cheap"!

Depends. MySpace is good because it allows people to be in "direct" contact with smaller artists. I have "rediscovered" some I thought had disappeared completely.
Of course I don't see the point for very famous ones (say, Madonna) to have a Myspace, not sure she's even checked it once...

I mainly use myspace too talk too Deb fans my friends and networking with people from work.  I do think you have too be desparate to use myspace too meet partners.  I am no cindy Crawford but I get weird guys giving me offers all the time.  It's like get a life losers.

Setting up your own website is not that difficult or expensive, and a better impression than "I've got a MySpace page".

As for keeping in contact, you can also use email, instant messengers, or even VoIP.

Do people like Deborah Gibson REALLY have 20,000 friends, or more like a dozen???

as far as how many people of that 20000 a really debs friends or close fans not sure but yes the number 20000 means how many fans/friends she has. Then that way when she sends a bulletin out about something new or events all 20000 people get the same message

The website and MySpace page are better than nothing.  It is not like Deb runs them or does much with them except every blue moon tell the people who run them to add a message or this or that.

I wonder sometimes how long myspace will be around or at least be popular?  It seems like it came out of nowhere and got really hot really fast.  Usually when things like that happen they don't last that long.
