So....just checked out the online Gibson Girl foundation merchandise. Wow. That's a lot of money for stuff.

It's like $200.00 for a signed Chicago Playbill... I think I bought one from DGIF a while back for like $30.00. But, hey, it's charity, right? You can't put a price on that.

I think all that stuff needs to be taken off and they should kindly ask for donations, or have a benefit concert again.

I know they're not greedy with money, because I offered to donate my book royalties to the GG foundation and they still said no.

I'm just sayin.

Charity auctions usually do have big mark ups.

I'll never pay that much.

Even for charity.

I'd rather donate something I could afford and feel good about it, instead of bidding on something that they know is overpriced to begin with.

I mean, if you're going to start the big for 200 plus dollars, why not something personal of Deborah's, like her clothes, or hats? You can get a signed Playbill on ebay for cheap.

The most expensive item I've bought in general are the Memory Lane CDs.

Most of the CDs, records, and tapes I've gotten were from scavenger hunts in thrift stores and only bought a few items online from money order about 7 years ago.

i bought memory lane vol 1 for 30.00...and...at the time I was broke in my 1st apartment eating cup noodles, and when I found out she did it on a CD-R i damned near killed myself.

Memory Lane vol 2... i had it burned by a friend.

(Not that I condone duplicating copyrighted merchandise. I don't. I just paid too much money for crap the first time)
