Though they're OK (well, only heard once in a while), most of the songs from The Smiths sound a like despite that they're kissed upon by most '80's alternative fans.

Never got into The Pixies.

Adam & The Ants is  well recieved by the new wave community, but honestly "Strip" is the only song I actually enjoy (though without the ants) and also can tolerate "Stand & Deliver". Majority is just  annoying and/or noise to my ears...

Adele... 2009 Grammy Best New Artist

Heard "Chasing Pavementd" and found it boring.

It's strange that she wasn't widely known and won 'Best New Artist" few years ago.

Popular music have slightly changed since electronic based pop is now popular and rock have declined popularity since it's been stagnated for over a decade since being mostly rehashes of '90's alternative.

Though I was never really trendy with "current" music, I'm mostly indifferent.
