If this ever comes out. It won't be this fall for sure, but these plans for a new CD, does anyone know what label has her? I don't think Golden Egg Records is in business anymore, and "Naked " was on Orafin records. Did she get signed?

Oarfin is just a distibuter as well. In fact I have a co-worker/friend that put out a gospel single 2 years ago and she sent a copy to a distibuter to have them copy cds to release so that always don't mean just because oarfin was on the cd doesn't mean thats her actual record company in fact my friend didn't even have a record company.

People, years ago Deb said she would not release an album without the backing of a major label and I don't think she changed her mind. Period.

I have a hunch she's already been signed to a major label, but not releasing news on that yet. And why should she - it doesn't really matter until the record is actually released. I suspect this because she seems pretty far ahead on her record already, and it doesn't seem to make sense to invest so much into something if she's not sure it won't get a wide release. What does everyone think about this?

Smart move Deborah! Got a taste of your new comeback song on your website and it sounds smokin' hot!!! Can't wait to hit the gym and dancefloor with it!

Could be correct and if true, have to say that it's a good move to keep it secret Smiley

If she was signed on a new label, "Already Gone" would've been out together and released a bit mroe professionally.

I think she released it to 'fans only' as a euphenism (sp?) for, "OKay, guys stop your complaining here's a new song finally w/ the promise of a new cd so shut up".

I've been thinking the exact same thing.  She wouldn't have any point or reason to be recording new music if she doesn't have a signed deal or very close to having one.

She has a contract. It should be old news by now.

She was asked to record 4 songs (or was it 5) or an entire album if they liked what they heard. Well I'm not sure I remember correctly, anyone does?

Anyway, I'm guessing we're getting the entire album.

Now Already Gone, kind of remind me of the release of You Belong To Me. It may have been release to test the market or create a buzz. YBTM created a bigger buzz. Anyway, it wasn't created to shut a couple of people up ... Come on ... She's not going to invest time and money on that.

Now why a video? That I'm not able to answer ... Anyway, these are just some on my thoughts on the subject.

I remember that, though I think it was 3 or 4 songs and that Deb would be signed if the label (nothing specific) liked the songs or not.

as deborah said in this interview with 80s in your face
 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pb0B8HLHVbQ

when bylli asked her about Already Gone if this was the direction she was going with her music
she said comfortable about releasing it but not comfortable about putting on album

Despite the haters bashing it, I think it'd be great on a new CD

I don't know why she so worried at this point try something new throw something new out.  You don't always have to stay with the same old ballad and dance stuff.  Take a chance do soemthing risky.  You never know what poeple might like.

Go ahead Deb step outside the box/comfort zone.
