Hey check out Deb's zazzle store. She's done a photo shoot to help awarness about Prop 8 and Human Equality. I'm gay, but after seeing this shirt, I'm officialy straight, and it's the dumbesting thing I ever seen. http://www.zazzle.com/id_rather_go_naked_tshirt-235716968869309005

I support her for doing it I think it's great she supporting what she believes in. This is for me personally as a straight woman I won't be buying the T shirt I just have issue wearing a T shirt with a naked woman on the front of it. Just my personal choice. Sorry nothing against Deb.

Catchy slogan and good that she's taking part of what she believe in
Though I wouldn't buy it since the image is something that would be inappropriate to show in public.

The comments on the blog are mixed.
As a straight male, I found the pic OK (though not sleazy, probably a generational thing since I've seen worse images in the media), though I'll admit that I blushed.
Also this isn't the first time somebody have appeared semi-naked for a political statement.
Then again, if had been Madonna or whovever's famous at the second, I'd be indifferent...
Don't like to admit, but I find the "Rated G" part from the Zazzle thing amusing...

Years have gone by since her Playboy pictoral....and wow! She looks the same if not ever better than ever. AND it's for a good cause too. Way to go Deborah!

What I don't understand is how some people didn't bat an eye about Playboy but are bothered by this? I don't get that. She's not showing anything in this. Other celebrities have done this for Peta and it hasn't even raised an eyebrow with anyone here but she does this for Prop 8 and they freak out! Is it because it's in support of homosexuals? I've found that there is an ugly side to this fan base. There are some that are and have put demands and expectations on her that she can't live up to and I think she's sort of rebelling against that. Some seem to have this attitude of "Deborah, I'll support you and be your fan as long as you never do anything remotely controversial or ever give an opinion on anything." What is concerning to me is her recent weight loss, not some poster or T shirt.

Most of her fans our now in their late 30's early 40's. Is this something that most 30 or 40 year old would wear in public? I know I will not be buying one. We would probably be laughed at if we were to wear a T-shirt like that.
Its great she is supporting the cause but some things she does and they way she does puzzle me. I think most of us just wish she would get back to recording music.

I agree with Erica even though I wouldn't wear the shirt because I never have even owned a shirt of Debs past or present so why would I start now.
If she wants to get naked for her cause thats her biz.

I think people don't understand it's not the fact that she naked that is bothering its that alot of the female fans are straight would not want to be wearing that shirt because of being questioned. This has nothing to do with playboy. Like I took her off my myspace top friends list because I do not want to be questions by my coworkers why do you have a naked woman on your top friends list. I support it and feel everyone should have rights to marry whomever they want. Nothing against Deb I just issues with being straight and having a naked picture of Deb on myspace page and I work in professional setting and feel it's inapprreate for me for my coworkers to see. Alot of them are on my top friends list.

I would never buy the t-shirt but than again I'm not into buying t-shirt with any artists on it. Deb is gonna do want she want whether we agree with it or not. She does look pretty in the pic though.

You are absolutely wrong Erica. It's the fact that she's naked that bothers people. Sadly.
Remember this, you will never be responsible for your friend's actions, in any way (one thing is for sure, I would never accept that). If I decide to change my MySpace's profile picture for that one, you shouldn't feel the obligation to take me off of your top friend's list (if I am, I have not visited MySpace in a while) until I get back to my curly hair's pic.
Now on to Brian ... Brian, Brian, Brian ... Of course you're still gay and of course this if far from being the dumbest thing you've ever seen in your entire life ... Of course.
What I can tell you though is that your post might be the dumbest thing I've read in 2009. Seriously. Think Brian think !

Let me use this situation for example I go to church and I was giving my time and talent to do our church myspace.Well I decided to start adding people that might have some interest. Well when the preacher seen this one lady on the friends list he wanted me to take her off the friends list because it didn't look good for church to have a person like this on the list ------>"beeer drinking person"( thats what her profile photo ) as I sorta was appauled by it but removed it but then thought well that person may never get to know what message I was trying to get across about "GOD" because I couldn't keep them on the list..
I can see what Erica is talking .... I am a straight married church going woman and I want to be respected. I use to have Deborah on my top friends list but I have moved on from that even though she is my favorite singer of all time. I think one of the only singers I have on my top list is Coffey Anderson thats because he says my same belief in "GOD".
I don't want to wear an artist t-shirt anyway and I def wouldn't want to wear a t-shirt OF naked man or naked woman reguardless if they are gay or straight.
Lets leave Deb out of this equation for a min. Lets use another celebrities
One senario :no cause to support
As a gay person would you wear /buy the New Kids on the Block -t-shirt if they had 2 shirts to choose from (1) with clothes on (2)without clothes on ?
As straight person would you wear the New Kids on the Block -t-shirt if they had 2 shirts to choose from (1) with clothes on (2)without clothes on ?
2nd senario : Now the celebrities have a cause for which they are supporting As a gay person would you wear /buy the New Kids on the Block -t-shirt if they had 2 shirts to choose from (1) with clothes on (2)without clothes on ?
As straight person would you wear /buy the New Kids on the Block -t-shirt if they had 2 shirts to choose from (1) with clothes on (2)without clothes on ?
If Deborah wants to be naked and support her cause that is her business. But that doesn't mean I can give my opinion on my beliefs either.
I personally dont believe in the whole gay thing. I really never had much of an issue with it but over the last few years it has bothered me more because I am going to church.
Just like if Deborah believed in abortion and wanted to get naked I still wouldn't wear a shirt that supported that because I don't believe in that either.
I don't support drunk drivers either but I wouldn't wear a t-shirt either to say I am against drunk drivers.
A friend told me this today
Deb goes naked to protest "discrimination" against homosexuals, do you think I could go naked to protest the real discrimination going on today - against Christians? It's still a good picture of her.
Now I would wear a shirt that says something about supporting christians but thats my belief but I am not going to get naked for it.
