I have a feeling that the media  will have a field day with this and I personally detest reality shows...

Good thing that I'm a closet fan

Yeah I agree I much rather see something like this than about her camp.  sounds very interesting.   Nick Lachey did something like this when his last album came out in 06 for MTV.  I think NKOTB did something like this too for VH1 where there last cd came out.   My guess she might land in VH1 or Bravo.  The only reality tv show watch is Kathy Griffin my life on D list.

Recalled in Deb's lastest blog that she said something about her master tapes in VHS to be converted. Oh, man, it is for this reality series.

Looking forward to this.  Cheesy

Am I the only person who's not interested?

I'd watch some of it out of curiosity (like "American Juniors" and "Skating"), though very much prefer new music.

Look at this way its a camera crew following her like more a documentary not it's not like she doing silly stunts like the old show celebrity boot camp or fear factor.  It's more like the  days and the life of Debbie/Deborah gibson who ever she is now. It's sounds alot like Kathy Griffins my life on the D list where they go around showing Kathy's life and what she doing in her career.

Well let's see. If I have the new cd in hands, I'm gonna miss a few episodes for sure. If the cd isn't release, I'm gonna watch all the episodes !!! Therefore, it's all about the music.

Now I have a question, I really don't know the answer. Does these show eventually come out on DVD ? I would buy it for sure.

Another question while I'm at it. I would assume that the show will air starting in January. Will the cd be release before, early on, later on or after the season ?

I really don't see any way this can hurt her.  On the outside it seems to have nothing but upside to it.  Since it's basically career focused it's not going to be one of these narcississtic, self obssessed reality shows like some celebrities have.  This will get her more exposure to people that may not know anything about her or haven't payed attention to her in years.

I just hope it gets picked up by a major channel instead of some obscure one that only 20 people get in New York and L.A.

If you ask me to pick between American Idol and Deb's reality show. I'll go for Deb's.  Wink

true

As for networks, I think Bravo would be a good channel since the shows on VH1 tend to be very lowbrow (same for another once great music video channel).

Honestly, I find reality shows very boring and I pretty much would see an episode with Deb recording new  songs rather than doing "everyday stuff".  (I get it, celebrities are human beings too, but wouldn't watch them go shopping, walking dogs, with their lovers, having fits,  etc.).

I've seen many shows, but never got into them and never understood the popularity. Maybe it's just me (and a several others, I know I'm not the only person).

I thought that reality TV was long since played out by now but it seems to have nine lives.
