Yes, "November Rain" was #1  Cool

As for "Bohemian Rhapsody" from Queen, it was re-realeased and became a hit again due to it being in the soundtrack for "Wayne's World"

1992.... Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2,  En Vogue, and TLC  Cool

While "November Rain" is one of the greatest videos, Guns N' Roses had better songs, IMHO.

It's odd that Beastie Boys weren't ranked since "So What'cha Want" & "Pass The Mic" were from that year. Also "Scenario" from A Tribe Called Quest.

"The Real World" (1992 to present) premiered on MTV...ugh! In which reality programming would dominate television by the next decade and the show would be overexposed on the network with countless marathons and also "Road Rules" several years later...  Tongue MTV have officially jumped, IHMO.

Though the Movie Awards  also started and the network already have experimented with non-music programming several years prior from "Liquid Television" (1991), "House of Style" (1989), and "MTV Sports" (1990).

Def Leppard "Let's Get Rocked" from the 1992 VMAs

From the lack of enthusiasm from the audience and the band's attempt of dressing "trendy", it's a sign of change of the musical climate and MTV's taste to rap,R&B, alternative, and non-glam metal bands Guns N' Roses & Metallica...

In contrast to "Tear It Down" from the 1989 VMAs.

I like the "old" Def Leppard much better.  What's strange is that I was in my early 20s then and that should have been the time that I was most into music.  The problem is that was the time that I was beginning to feel very out of touch with music.

94) "Weird Al" Yankovic - Smells Like Nirvana

It's interesting that it was the first time Weird Al appeared on MTV's year end countdown. I know he was a fixture with his "Al TV" specials, but not sure if his videos were given as much rotation as much as the artists he spoofed. "Smells Like Nirvana" is one of the funniest.   Cool

Thought about Weird Al while watching parts of a documentary on the Amish, which he recorded "Amish Paradise" (1996)...a parody of Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise". Another classic.  Cheesy
