Wasn't the point of doing THAT to pique people's interest? The Original GG/TXRDonald I vote no CD this year..........AGAIN!

I agree with you on this one. God I think it has been since after MYOB came out we have been hearing that she has been working o a new CD. After you hear some one say something so many times and nothing happens you really start to wonder if there actaully is a new CD.
One would think with all the concerts she has played over the last few years in NYC and other places she would atleast try new songs out to get audience reaction. However from all the reports we have heard about the concerts I don't remember hearing very much about new songs. It kind of makes you wonder what she will sing at her upcoming Atlantic City shows.
I really enjoy seeing live music and in just about all the concerts I have seen over the last few years almost every singer has performed new songs to get audience reaction however it seems Deb never does this anymore. Kind of makes you wonder.

If you don't get your hopes up, you won't be disappointed with any outcome.

Yes Though only time will tell I think there will be. If Paris Hilton can get a record deal then I know Deborah can. Deb always CAN get a record deal. She just has to realize she isn't in the strongest position to dictate the terms. The Original RockStar Gonna sing those songs that offend the censors, gonna pop my pills from a Pez dispenser, have washed up singers writing all my songs, lip-synching everynight so I dont get em wrong!

I hate to agree with you all but I do I don't see us getting anything new this year but maybe a new song her myspace like she been doing every year the last couple of years. I still like her but don't get me wrong but my hopes for a new cd burned out last year.

Well since MYOB we had colored lights (even though some of you don't like Broadway music, it is still an album) and the memory lanes, even though these aren't really new material. The problem is more complex than some of you may think. Deb certainly wants a new album, but this time she would like it to be reasonably successful at least, and not an ultra-minor release via her website, sold only to a bunch of hardcore fans. To achieve this she needs to sign on a major label, but I suppose she wants it to be more on less on her terms (it would be pointless for an artist like Deb to churn out mainstream crap with no control at all over it, like most of today's pop stars) And this is dependent on other factors : it's obvious that a major success in Broadway, a successful movie or TV appearances would help her to be in a good position for signing with a major label. I think Deb's waiting for the right moment for it. All we have to hope is this moment comes soon (if it comes at all, but I'll keep optimistic and I hope we'll get new music in 2008)

Who knows...
though probably later in the year or atleast 2009
Will she make a huge comeback? Since the music industry is still a cesspool and also more focused towards the youth demographic... unfortunately no.
Moderate hit song... maybe
