So many new CD's of good music have come out latley. I don't buy new cd's that often anymore. However over the past 3 weeks. Three of my absolute favorites have come out with new CD's.

Katie Melua's new CD "The House", Jewel's "Sweet and Wild" and next Tuesday Sarah Mclachlan's new CD will be out.

The Katie melua CD very different for her. But still very good she worked with William Orbit (madonna's ray of light producer) as producer this time. What a welcomed change. Katie still has such a beautiful voice. I don't know how she has gone undisovered in the USA. Just an amazing voice especially live!! The House will be out in the USA in August.

And Jewels new arrived today in the mail. She sounds great and the pictures on the cover and in the CD booklet are great.

Rarely buy CDs (once in every few months or more) though most I've bought in the past few years were compilation CDs. Though in the past few years have gotten albums from Natasha Bedingfield, Duffy, and The Ting Tings.

Dalancey Street-Rachael Sage

www.myspace.com/rachaelsage

I was googling Deborah's name one day and clicked on a Rachael interview. She said she was a Deborah Gibson fan at age 13.

Deborah's music inspired her to play piano inside dumpy bars at age
14. Rachael never made it big in the music industry and finances her own recordings .

It's almost embarrassing to admit but I don't even remember the last CD that I bought.

Wouldn't be suprised if CDs were to become obsolete. Though personally most albums I've bought only contained a few decent tracks and/or the hits, which I mostly go for compilation/"Greatest Hits" packages.

They are on their way to disappearing.  I doubt they will be completely gone for at least another 10 years.  Things have a tendency to hold on longer than you think they will or should.  I'm not excited about CDs and DVDs going away because I think they have superior sound to MP3 or MP4.
