Deborah ,Deb,Debbie what ever you want to call her has recently talked in interviews and referred to herself as Debbie again. Also her website has revamped to the name Debbie Gibson. What is your take on her going with Debbie now.
Sometimes I just say Deb to make it short.

Debbie is the name everyone knows, she tried hard to fight for Deborah but this was a battle that could not be won.
She's always been debbie for me

Though "Debbie Gibson" was before my time, I also pretty much refer her as "Deb".
Wouldn't care if she changes her last name whenever she decides to gets married.

I noticed her sometimes going by Debbie again about three years ago. There was a time when if somebody called her Debbie she seemed to get a little irritated but as time has gone by I think she realized that Debbie might be better at least business wise. It seems like there were some fans that just didn't like it very much when she switched over to Deborah.

I tend to call her Deb. I think she should go back to "Debbie", many people recall this more than "Deborah" that she began using at a time she was far less in the public eye.

I am not sure if anyone has ever seen the musical or talked about it but... Today I saw the National tour of Rock of Ages. It's a musical set to mid to late 80's music with some early 90's mixed in but they try to sell it as an 80's musical. It's about people living in Hollywood trying to make it big in both music and acting . There was a mention of Deb in the second half they even showed Deb's picture. The roadie guy who set up stage for the concerts in the show jokingly name a bunch of people he partied with Debbie Gibson and Deb's photo cames up on the screen. I can tell the show was written a while ago. Constantine who was on American Idol star's in the show as Drew an aspiring musician. He said I think it's Deborah now.
Oh the photo is from a head shot from the 45 or cassette single photo shoot from LIYE super imposed to look like she sitting next to the actor in the show.
I am not sure if any of the fans have seen the show or not but I saw the this afternoon downtown.

When I heard it I didn't believe it because I just don't see him as being her type. It's good they didn't bring her up in some disparaging way. |
