Some of my least favorite cover songs...that I can think of

Madonna "American Pie"
Marilyn Manson "Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)"
Limp Bizkit "Faith"
Tiffany "I Saw Him Standing There"
Christina Aguilera, Pink, Lil' Kim, & Mya "Lady Marmalade"
Britney Spears "My Prerogative"
Twisted Sister "Leader Of The Pack"
Hilary & Haylie Duff "Our Lips Are Sealed"
Michael Bolton "When A Man Loves A Woman" (really, his voice is annoying)
Whitney Houston "I Will Always Love You" (never heard original)

Colbie Colliat's "Kiss The Girl", very bland and turned it into "coffee house music"

Britney Spears "I love rock'n'roll". How didn't she realise she was so ridiculous trying to cover the arch-queen of rock ?

That was terrible.

The thing I've noticed about Britney is that she always sings in the same register, always uses the same vocal accents, seems to sing in just one octave,  and always lip synchs.  All of her songs sound more or less the same no matter what she's "singing."  There's  just no variety.

Worst versions of holiday songs...

Madonna "Santa Baby", sung in an annoying Betty Boop voice

Michael Bolton "White Christmas", his voice is grating

Ashley Tisdale "Last Christmas", soul less version of the original

Poison "What I Like About You"

Honestly doesn't hold a candle to the original Romantics song.

"My Girl" from Suave

Classic '60's song turned into a generic '80's song with percussion similar to the Club Nouveau's of "Lean On Me", which ironically is a cover... though better than the original unlike "My Girl", IMHO.

Gorky Park "My Generation"

Not as bad...though more mediocre (though most Who fans & '60's rock purists would take offense to the cover), they turned a well known '60's rebellion anthem  into generic '80's glam metal.

Madonna's version of "American Pie" was really bad.

Fun Boy Three "Our Lips Are Sealed" (1983)

Granted that Terry Hall co-wrote the song, but Fun Boy Three basically sucked the life out of the classic Go-Go's song.
