20 years ago on November 20th, Deb's third album "Anything Is Possible" was released. Despite that it's considered a flop, the album went Gold and the title track was a moderate hit. Then again, that was the same year that Vanilla Ice, Nelson, and Technotronic were popular for some reason...

Still listen to several  songs from the album, though mainly the ballads from "One Hand, One Heart", "Sure", and the epic "This So-Called Miracle". Also uptemo songs from  the title track, "One Step Ahead", "Deep Down", and "It Must've Been My Boy".

Honestly the ballads could've easily been hits if radio, tv, etc. given her the music a chance and the right promotion. Unfortunately she was basically typecasted as a "teen queen" and that the music industry was slowly changing since alternative was becoming more mainstream, rap more popular, & also the Milli Vanilli scandal caused a major backlash against pop music...

This is a much better album than anyone ever gave it credit for at the time.  This was immediately post-Milli Vanilli and anti pop sentiment was running high.  Radio and MTV were beginning to focus more on "cool" bands from Seattle at that time.

Thanks for the correct date.

I thought Wiki was wrong considering that it's not always accurate. Though same with Rate Your Music and Amazon obviously wasn't around in the early 1990's.  Embarrassed Tongue

AIP could easily be my favorite album by Deborah.  I do not like Reverse Psychology and Stand Your Ground.  I love the rest of the album and listen to it all the time.

Wow 20 years ago I was in the 7th grade.  I remember seeing Deb the day after Thanksgiving on Regis and Kathylee that year.

Another album that radio and MTV should have paid a lot more attention to.  It had three potential hits on it.  There's also not a bad song on it.

The "Anything Is Possible" album was released on November 13. 1990 (and NOT the 20th) since it entered The Billboard Top 200 Albums on December 1. 1990 (at #87).
And it was certified Gold by RIAA on December 17. 1990 for 500.000 copies shipped to stores (NOT sold).
Here in Europe, the album was released on March 18. 1990. It spent one sole week at #69 on the UK album chart.
