I know this has not been really talked about much among us true fans, but I had to ask that question.  I personally like to see her keep to her true name, but then again, it was Atlantic Records that started the whole "Debbie" thing. But also it was my first impression as a youngster, her being named Debbie Gibson, and I as a youngster, did not know the truth about her real name being Deborah.  I am one who will probably float back and forth with the Debbie/Deborah thing...but just wanted to get other fans opinions on the name thing Grin

I usually just refer to her as Deb. Though "Debbie" when it comes to her earlier (pre-1997, mostly from her 'electric youth' during the '80's) material or Deborah in present tense.

Deb, Debbie, Deborah, an unpronounceable symbol, whatever, she's still the same person

More people around the world know her as Debbie so from a business stand point it might be better for her to go by that.

Personally it doesn't matter. Deb is just as good. Don't have to worry if you get the right or wrong name.

Debbie as a stage name and Deborah is her real name and the one she signs her lyrics with/birth name.

Over the years I have gotten use to Deborah. But could see calling Debbie again.

To me same person just different version of the same name. The person in the end is still the same.
