What stage or film role do you think Deb could portray?

Honestly, can't really think of anything. Even tv guest roles besides being on more talk shows to perform/promote...

I think the better question should be What TV shows could she reasonably guest star in?

Since she's into country music, she could appear in "Going Country".

Though I doubt since she would have to share a house with other celebrities (ie Dee Snyder, Bobby Brown) rather than performing for judges like "American Idol" or that show with random celebrities rapping. .

I actually watched some of the show and the part with the celebrities watching a video of  people making harsh comments about them  was humilating (like majority of other reality shows). Also, from the preview of the series shown at the end, they have to  do farm work and other reality show cliches.

"Skating With Celebrities" and "American Juniors" are enough, IMHO.

What makes this tough is that right now there really aren't many good shows on.

Plus the writers strike is killing tv.  LOL she could play a mom of a football player or a new music teacher on Friday night lights.

Since she wrote a song for Robbie Ray Montana*, she could play a desperate soccer mom trying to win tickets for her kids to see Hannah Montana or a teacher who puts her in detention during the same time as some award ceremony...  Roll Eyes

*I know that's not his real name

I would like to see a spoof on "Robot Chicken". Though their skits tend to be hit or miss and also tries to hard to be funny.

A  teenage Deb accidently time travels to this decade would be interesting or have her judge  an "American Idol" spoof with celebs trying out for musical theatre roles.

That cheesy claymated celebrity fighting show (also mediocre) never featured her, though they'd probably have her against Tiffany or  several  current pop singers.  Then again, if they did they'd probably have her lose and the caricature might be unflattering (also  jokes about her name.)

Animated shows..."The Simpsons" became a tv show the same year "Anything Is Possible" was released, but they only featured celebrity voices during special episodes/milestones and didn't have them in many episodes until later seasons. Also not sure if she would do voice over work for animation.

Disney/Pixar films... only a few CGI films are good, traditional animation is over and haven't been good since "The Lion King". Not to mention they're only interested in their brand of manufactured pop acts.

Or just have her travel into this decade period.  I'm sure she would be like "What the hell?!"

I could picture something like the diner scene from "Back To The Future", though the chase would be short since the starlets would end up hitting a lamp post or something discusting  (much like in the triology).

Though highly doubt it, though it would be interested if she did animation voice-over work.

Interview from 'Phineas & Ferb' creators

Povenmire: Late in second season, the kids will actually find out about mom's earlier celebrity.

It would be fun to see the character Candace enrolling to a Summer acting camp in an episode, which her teacher was once an '80's pop singer and Lindonna's rival... which causes her to dislike Candace for being related to Lindanna, which both ends up meeting (BTW, it's just a guess... not an actual episode)

If the storyline is something like that or similar, they could get an actual '80's pop singer to play that role.  Smiley

If a movie role was offered for it, I would love to see her do a film version of Gypsy.....and it would also be cool if Deborah did a voice for any Disney flick

For my comment on Gypsy, she could play the mother now that she is old enough to do so

second

Hand drawn is sopposedly making a comeback with "Princess & The Frog". It'll probably be successful since little girls & Disney fans (though I find the Disney princesses overrated)  are into that, though Disney hasn't really done any good movies since "Lion King" with exception of a few films with Pixar.

In 1994 she was to work on an animated movie for Don Bluth, which I read on the BTL archives, (don't know if for voice-over or soundtrack or both), though thankfully didn't go through since Don Bluth films in the 1990's (ie the horrid "Troll In Central Park") were horrible.

One of the songs was on the second 'Memory Lane' albums.

I tried to find out something about the soundtrack for this animated feature
she's doing ("A Fairy's Tale").  I did find out that it's going be released in
September.  She's definitely singing on the soundtrack as opposed to just
doing instrumental music.

Can't find any more details, though just skimmed

Ironically, same as VH1 Classic 80 Hours of '80's in 2008  Cheesy

On Sunday, July 2nd, VH-1 showed the videos for "Only In My Dreams," "Shake
Your Love" and "Lost In Your Eyes" as part of their weekend-long History of
Music Videos from A to Z.

Though at that time, I wasn't aware of Deb and wan't yet into popular music...
