A Journey Through the 80s
Hello Everyone!

As you have heard by now….YES! It is true!

I didn’t know any announcement was happening or you would have been first to know…

But, now that the cat is outta the bag I can say that I am super excited about this musical collaboration!

After doing the film and press tour with Tiffany, it seemed only natural and timely to venture out on tour together and join forces!

We have decided to pay tribute to ALL 80?s music by performing hits that influenced us from that decade, as well as performing our own hits, and debuting new music!

Tiffany’s album Rose Tattoo is out now and I will have new music come tour time to share with you all!

The exciting thing to me is how we share common ground but are now musically so different…therefore fans will enjoy a romp down memory lane as well as being treated to a variety of musical styles making for a diverse evening!

She and I have always had a “sisterhood” attitude about the whole “supposed rivalry” thing and I hope you will all come out and enjoy this first ever event of it’s kind!

OMG! I am SO excited!!!!

Can you say “Shake Your Love”/”I Think We’re Alone Now” Mashup anyone?!?

X DEB

Tiffany is putting together tour dates with fellow 1980s icon Debbie Gibson. The pair, who starred together in the Syfy movie "Mega Python vs. Gatoroid," plan to cover songs that inspired them as well as peform their own material. "We want to journey through the '80s and all the artists who influenced us," Tiffany told us, adding that she and Gibson might do covers of hits by Stevie Nicks, Reba McIntyre and Guns N' Roses, as well as Broadway tunes. They'd also perform their own material. Tiff's on tour supporting her new release, "Rose Tattoo."

Im not so sure about that, they wont be playing arenas or outdoor sheds for sure, they simply dont have the drawing power for that.

I think like most 80's nostalgia act they will be playing casinos, state fairs, various local festivals with  maybe a few house of blues type of venues. Usually those type of tours tend to stay away from the huge markets and go for places like Hampton beach casino(NH), mohegan sun(CT).....

I can say this Tiffany has made a guest appearance at Boogie Nights its a retro club at the Hollywood casino but the hollywood has started having concerts in there ballroom.  I saw Blessid Union of souls there last month its in Lawranceberg, IN right outside of Cincinnati.  I know Grand Victoria in Rising Sun, IN has shows and Belltaria in Bellteria, IN has shows.  There is also this entertainement complex in Newport, KY I have seen two concerts at put on by REwind 94.9 our 80's station.   It's called the Syndicate they do dinner and concert for like 70 dollars or so yu get a show dinner buffet.  Cincinnati is getting a new Harrah's casino but that wont be finished until 2012 or 2013

Debbie Gibson & Tiffany Tour Together

April 20, 2011

DEBBIE GIBSON & TIFFANY TOGETHER FOR THE FIRST TIME

AT THE NYCB THEATRE AT WESTBURY – JULY 29

Westbury, NY – Live Nation is pleased to present Debbie Gibson and Tiffany, together for the very first time, at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury on July 29 at 8 pm.  Tickets are $69.50, $39.50 and $29.50 and go on sale this Friday, April 22 at 10 a.m.  Tickets are available at www.livenation.com, charge by phone at 800-745-3000 or at the Westbury box office (Box Office opens at Noon).  Event, date and time are subject to change.  Tickets are subject to applicable service charges.  For membership information, visit www.westburymembership.com

Merrick’s Debbie Gibson rose to fame while still in high school.  Her debut single, “Only In My Dreams” was released in the summer of 1987 and was followed in the fall by “Shake Your Love.”  Out of the Blue her debut album was released that fall and by the spring of 1988, the title track had climbed to number three on the charts.  With the release of her fourth single, “Foolish Beat,” Debbie Gibson became the youngest artist to write, produce and perform a #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.  ”Lost in Your Eyes,” the first single from her sophomore effort, Electric Youth became her biggest hit, staying at number one for three weeks.   In addition to her recording career, Debbie Gibson has starred on Broadway in “Les Miserables” and “Beauty and the Beast.” She starred in London in the West End production of “Grease” and toured nationally in “Grease,” “Funny Girl,” and appeared at the Paper Mill Playhouse in “Gypsy.”   More recently she was seen in her second SyFy film “Mega Python vs. Gatorid” with Tiffany as her co-star.

TIFFANY is back! …to her roots. The dynamic voice of the 80s has returned to where it all started for her, country music and the Nashville music scene. Now a critically praised songwriter, Tiffany is set to capture your hearts again…with her new album of country/rock tunes!  Tiffany began her career at the age of 13 when she signed her first recording contract with MCA. The self-titled debut album was released in 1987 and eventually went quadruple platinum. The innovative “Mall Tour” that followed proved to be the signature for Tiffany’s early career and was very effective in targeting her core audience of young teens making Tiffany the youngest female artist to debut at number one on the Billboard charts. Tiffany produced three top ten hits, two of which were national and international #1 pop singles “Could’ve Been” and the celebrated “I Think We’re Alone Now.” The soon-to-be teen pop phenomenon, New Kids on the Block, got their big break as the opening act for her world tour. Tiffany released her second album, Hold An Old Friend’s Hand, which went double platinum and featured the top ten hit “All This Time.”

Seems a lot is riding on the ticket sales for westbury so if you want the tour to go to other places and you can go to the NY show, go.

I hope they add more dates to the tour.  So far it's New york and New Jersey.  I have been looking at venues near me there all basically really starting to be booked solid during the time Deb and Tiffany are hitting the road.  Maybe they might come to kings island and play that little venue Timberwolf.
